本を読みきれないほど持っている．そこには効能がある．どこまでも追究する主題を複数持てていることである．人生の時間がつまらなくなることがない．どこまでも成長する道が眼前に見える．異なる分野の間が融合する可能性を感じる．そこには希少性もあるだろう．ということで，本を多く持つことは人生に多大なる好循環をもたらすと私は考えている．書斎にある本のジャンルをご紹介する．およそ5種類に大別できる．
I have too many books to read all of them. They bring good effect for me. That is to have several subjects to keep learning for a long time. I don’t feel boring at any time. I can see a road of improving. I find for melting different fields in mind that might be rare. Thus I understand that having many books brings better flow for one’s life. I introduce genre of the books at my study. They can make five groups.
1．海外文学
光文社の古典新訳文庫を中心に50冊以上持っている．買い置きしていてほとんど読んでいない．これは意図的に読んでいないのである．老年になって余暇が有り余るようになった時，この文庫群を繙き人生の時間を充実させるためである．文庫はすぐに絶版になる物も多いので買い置きしている．読むようになったら批評もぜひ書いてみたい．
1. Foreign literature
I have more than 50 books around Kobunsha Classics, but cannot read them after buying. It has a reason. When I am going to be old ages, I will start reading them and satisfy me at extra time. The books often end publishing at a short time, I often buy books early. When I start reading, I will try writing comments.
2．外国語
英語の学び直し本を中心に，外国語の辞書を含め50冊くらい持っている．語学に対する情熱は冷めたことがない．高校3年の時，英英辞典を全訳し英検準1級を取得した体験が今でも尾を引いていて，辞書を全部読みたいという夢や，語源の探索欲求や，もっとかっこいい英文を書けるようになりたいというアウトプット品質に対するこだわりが強まっている．
2. Foreign languages
I have about 50 books including dictionaries and English grammars. I keep my passion for languages. I got STEP pre-1 class at the age of 17 with translating English-English dictionary. This experience brings a dream of read all of dictionary, know an adventure of word meanings or write cool and smart qualified outputs strongly.
3．音楽
楽譜が増えてきた．ヤマハのキーボードで弾いてみて，最初の数小節なら両手で弾けるくらいにはなった．しかし，楽譜を見て音の高さと長さを正確に歌える域にはまだ遠い．今まで親しみもなかった領域に足を踏み入れることで，自分のできなかったことを自覚しつつ，努力でできるようになるということを30代半ばで知れて，人生から退屈が完全に去った．
3. Music
I have more and more scores. I teach myself to play with YAMAHA keyboard, can first several passages with both hands. Singing with correct pitches and lengths to look a score immediately is my next task. I have not learned this field. To join the field, I know what I cannot do, but they can do with my effort in suitable methods. To know at the mid 30’s, boring time disappeared completely.
4．建築
高校時代の思いが燻っている．それが建築である．建築の詳しい知識を求めているのではなく，造形の面で形に対する面白さ，および作品に内在する概念，または水彩など絵画的側面，そういったことに今でも関心が高い．物を創造する過程や建築家の思考についてはある程度認識している．しかし，アウトプットの多様さにはいつも興味を惹かれる．
4. Architecture
I have been longing at teens mind for architecture. I don’t want detail knowledge of architecture, but interest in shapes, contained concepts and aspects as pictures. I have learned processes to think and create forms or shapes as an architect, but feel curious for the variety of outputs.
5．数理科学
大学での学生生活を構成した数理科学．数式が難なく読めるのもその鍛錬のおかげ．それでもなお，知っている数学は少ないと自覚していて，大学数学をもう一度深く学び直したい欲望が大きく残っている．理学修士号の保有者として大体の分野は把握しているし，大抵の話にはついていける．大学で時間をかけて独学した利益は大きいと感じる．
5. Mathematical science
I spent most of student life in mathematical science. I can read sentences written in math for the training. I find myself less math knowledge that I know well, so I have huge wants to learn again from linear algebra or analytics courses. As the holder of master of science, I can follow most of science fields. There is an enormous profit to have studied this science.
最後に
以上5分野だが，もうこれ以上増やす気は起きない．この5分野だけで手一杯．人生を楽しむに充分だし，たまには他の楽しいことに触れても，深く追究しないようにする．広く多く親しむことは必ずしも良いことではない．ひとつかふたつを常に愛すことは才人の特徴だろうから．楽しみが多いことは幸福の証だし，私の職業柄好ましい．でも，人間的な成長に相応しい鍛錬や教養があり，これらの分野を通じて獲得するか仕事や生活を通じて身につけるか様々なので，趣味に重きを置かなくなるだろう．自分の好きなことばかりに没頭するのも考えものだという意見もまっとうで受け入れるべきだと思う．
Additionally
I don’t want to add any fields. I am full with these fields. They are enough for enjoying my life, so when I feel curious I will pay attention not to know deeply. It is not always good to learn widely and deeply. It is a feature for great people to love one or two things deeply. It is an evidence to happy to have fun with many things also at the point of work. The most important thing is to improve humanity. The methods of getting the improvement are different, working or living life. I must receive the rational opinions that it is not always good for everyone to be involved things loving and loving.
